ST IGNATIUS HIGH SCHOOL EVENT

St.Ignatius High School welcomes award-winning author Po Bronson to St. Ignatius on March 8th at 7:00 p.m. in McCullough Gym. He will be speaking about his book NurtureShock, and he will be signing books. The central premise of Mr. Bronson’s book is that many of modern society’s strategies for nurturing children are backfiring. NurtureSchock uses science to show how our skills and our character are formed; some of the topics covered include race, siblings lying, and how to appropriately praise our children. The award book has been featured on Good Morning America, Nightline, All Things Considered, Fresh Air, and Newsweek. About the book, SI’s Principal, Patrick Ruff stated, “I really enjoyed reading NurtureShock. There is something for parents of children of all ages – babies to toddlers to high schoolers. I learned a lot and feel better prepared to raise my sons with some great parenting strategies.”
You may purchase the book and a ticket to the event for $30.00. Additional tickets are $7.00.
